Property owners and operators such as restaurants, shopping centers, hotels, motels, apartment complexes, gas stations or other landowners have an obligation to keep their premises and approaches safe from unreasonable risks of harm and dangerous conditions on the premises. If such a land, property or building owner knew or should have known of a condition which could result in someone slipping, tripping, falling or otherwise injuring themselves, the owner may be liable.
